My daddy strongest…
Come zero, come centum, Paiyyan trots down to me, test paper and pen in hand for my signature.
Kutty, on the other hand, has her own hierarchy. When she scores less than 90%, she comes to me, flashes a semi-smile and gets my signature. When the score is 90% or above, she marches to her dad with twinkling eyes, a coy smile, and the best pen in the house. The little princess crowned by none less than the king.
“I love you, Ma,” she says. ”But I love Appa a lot more.”
One parent gives up her career to clean puke and poop, cook, teach, attend PTA meetings, mollify school ayahs and bus conductors, and generally play doormat. The other parent gets the fan club. Talk about injustice.
Daughters love their dad, don’t they!
They do, they do!
Ohh yes..talk about injustice! But at the same time your heart smiles when you see this bond between father and the child. Doesn’t it?
It sure does
sob, sob, tell me. i didn’t give up my job, but do everything that needs to be done. but when the appan does stuff, she is going to town with it. grrrrrrrrrr… main reason this time around i want a son!
Oh yes, sons are great that way. In fact, when there are only daughters, one of them tends to be closer to the mum, me thinks. Either way it ought to be fine with you. Good luck!
HAHAHA!
I know there’s an element of pathos in this, but it’s making me laugh.
Hee hee
